My name is Brian Noblin and i'm a Golf Packager in Myrtle Beach. I started this site in 2001 as a way to inform people about Myrtle Beach Golf and possibly gain a few clients in the mean time. Please feel free to browse about the site and enjoy the very informative interactive message board room. Please feel free to email me at brian@myrtlebeachgolftalk.com if you have any questions, need to get a quote or book your golf package!

The Myrtle Beach Golf Talk Forum is the heart and soul of this website (it's where the "Talk" is derived from) and has transformed over the years.  This is the latest, and hopfully last, incarnation of the Forum.  Here is where all of the latest information can be found, from recent trip reports to advice for a particular issue.  Over the years, Forum members have formed friendships, there is an annual Forum Outing in Myrtle Beach and occassionaly local outings where Forum members get together and play golf.

If you are seeing this notice, you are either not registered on the site and/or not signed in.  Not all of the Forum content is visible to you either.  Some of it, such as the Trip Reports, is only visible by registered users of the site and you must be signed in.  So if you are registered, that's great.  Sign in and view all of the content.  If you are not registered, please do so by clicking the Register link up at the top left of the page.  It only takes a few minutes.  Then, come on in and get to know us and hopefully participate.

Day 1- Cypress Bay : OK for price.
Day 2- Barefoot/ Love : Burnt Greens, nice lay out though. Should give discount due to conditions.
Day 3- World Tour : HUH? Nothing on this course resembles famous holes. Conditions were OK. Won't be back.
Day 4- Barefoot /Dye : Better conditions than Love. Love the layout. Worth it!
Day 5- Eagle Nest : Conditions OK for price.
Day 6- Eastport /  The Valley : Conditions , Great. Cheap. Good value.

Don't want to sound like a cheap skate, but the way World Tour, and Barefoot courses "get" you with returning your clubs to bag drop after your round. Wipeing down of clubs. Using cart from cart return to bag drop. More tipping is due here. I tip when we 1st go to bag drop. Now, another after your round ?  The tipping is getting out of hand. Just let me take the cart back to the car,  and unload there. Just my opinion.

Over all , had a great trip. Thanks MB!

Thanks for posting.  Agree with the tipping scam.

Having a person there to clean your clubs after the round, if you desire, is just a function of customer service at many higher end clubs. If you don't care to have your clubs cleaned then just let him know that you're Ok and don't need your clubs wiped down. In many cases, they'll do it anyway because the Head Pro or General Manager has told him, nobody leave this course with out their clubs being cleaned. Also their duties include talking to every group and ask them how their day was, what they thought of the ocurse, if they had any issues, who won the money, ask if they want to grab a beer in the bar, etc ... in most cases it's the last time the golf course has a chance to interact with you. Cleaning your clubs is just one of their various functions, believe me they will not be offfended if you tell them you don't need your clubs wiped down.

Brian. Thanks for the insight. Wasn't being overly picky about this. Was just an opinion. One more thing though. If you could pass this around to directors of some older courses. The ones with no GPS. There is nothing worse than no yardage markers. You may have stripes on the cart path for 200 , 150 , and 100. Also the 150 bushes. But when you are in between yardages, and find a sprinkler head with no.'s missing, arrrrrrrr. 1_7 or 13_ . Please ask to redo their no.'s on these every now and then.
Just another of my petty issues! Thanks

    Thanks for the report.

Sorry about the "club cleaning" and tipping routine you get with some courses... personally I don't care for them either. I keep my irons cleaned with a damp towel during the round, and don't need a muddy rag dragged over them after my round.

    Thanks again.
