My name is Brian Noblin and i'm a Golf Packager in Myrtle Beach. I started this site in 2001 as a way to inform people about Myrtle Beach Golf and possibly gain a few clients in the mean time. The Myrtle Beach Golf Talk Forum is the heart and soul of this website (it's where the "Talk" is derived from) and has transformed over the years.  This is the latest, and hopfully last, incarnation of the Forum.  Here is where all of the latest information can be found, from recent trip reports to advice for a particular issue.  Over the years, Forum members have formed friendships, there is an annual Forum Outing in Myrtle Beach and occassionaly local outings where Forum members get together and play golf.

If you are seeing this notice, you are either not registered on the site and/or not signed in.  Not all of the Forum content is visible to you either.  Some of it, such as the Trip Reports, is only visible by registered users of the site and you must be signed in.  So if you are registered, that's great.  Sign in and view all of the content.  If you are not registered, please do so by clicking the Register link up at the top left of the page.  It only takes a few minutes.  Then, come on in and get to know us and hopefully participate.

Looking to book our 15th year trip to MB in March 2013 need suggestions on courses in the North end that have good conditions that time of year, are player friendly, and are mid to high end price wise. When will Brian have the 2013 price lists out? Thinking of the Barefoot package, but some high handicappers are worried about difficulty.

Most courses should be in prime condition at that time of the year. I dont think you have to worry about conditions in Barefoot. Other courses in the North End that meet your criteria: Tidewater, Long Bay, Glen Dornoch, Heather Glen, Tigers Eye, Leopards Chase, Thistle, Oyster Bay, Surf Club, Crow Creek, Rivers Edge.

As far as difficulty, if high handicappers play from the right tees, it should not be an issue. The prices usually come out in September, possibly late August.

The high handicaps might have some trouble with BF Dye and BF Fazio..of Dave's list I would think TE CC and Thistle would be the most playable for a group of different handicaps...have fun..

March is a good time of the year to play the bent greens at: Crow Creek, Tigers Eye, Shaft Glen, The Dunes, Thistle, which are not too demanding from the proper tees.
Surf and Grande Dunes Members are in that class, but they aren't such a good value at Peak rates, unless you want a fresh course to check off.

The BF courses are not long from the white tees, so the only one that high Hdc might complain about is Dye.

With the B&C merger, Grande Dunes should have a lower rate now and this fall it has a before 8:15am rate, so that might be there in March.

Not sure what the 'north end' includes but I highly recommend the short drive to Cape Fear National or the longer drive/ferry to Bald Head Island...both top 5 in the north end in my humble opinion...
